“All in all it was a very positive experience for me. I felt very at ease, and I could see how this holds the potential to really open up the use of videocalling to a much larger group of people….What I also found compelling about their solution, which is set to launch sometime later this year, are their plans to build out the capabilities of their box to include the greatest hits of other STBs, including recording TV shows, placeshifting video, extending the reach of media from the PC to the TV screen, and providing a platform through which content can be delivered directly from the Internet. This truly is a compelling vision for what the future of this product can be and you’ll be able to read more about them over the coming weeks and months at KillerApp.com as we track their progress on the road to becoming the next Killer App.

May 2007 Big Communication Resources Millecanali (IT)
TVBLOB …has, like magic, transformed the TV into a means of bidirectional communication!....Fabrizio Caffarelli said, "We have transported the power of the web to the television. The Box connects with videocamera using a composite or S-video cable, includes an internal hard disk that substitutes a personal video recorder, receives digital terrestrial transmissions (via USB key), and integrates a browser for the creation of personal TV portals..."

May 2007 When the CEO is 2.0! 7th Floor (IT)
"We want to enable anyone who wants to make television to do so, whether he is an end user (user generated content) or someone that have content is searching for a way to be able to transmit it to a television and, not PC, audience….The web instead has taught us that people will invent everything and that across the network it is possible to access this new content with the mediation of anyone....We bring the power of the Web to the home television...but to access television content of whoever at that point wants to produce and distribute it."

3 February 2007 Take One…In the living room Finanza & Mercati (IT)
"Five years ago, I asked myself the question: What could be the killer application to exploit all of this broadband? There's only one answer: a killer application doesn't exist by itself. But certainly video is a fundamental instrument…in the sense that it is not much the idea to "pump" video and images toward the user, even if it's in the Video On Demand style. Instead, create a technology platform that enables everyone to create personal killer applications....But with one important characteristic," adds Caffarelli, "the quality is absolutely equal to that of national broadcasting."

30 Nov 2006 TVBlob — More Than Vlogs on TV Solitude.dk (EN)
What's going to fun forever is the fact that you can splice in video from any input device into the call. So while I'm talking wih my mom on my Jetsons video phone I can send her video from my trip to Milan using my digital camera. I could even hook up my laptop to the TVBlob box and show her exactly how she marks messages as spam in her Thunderbird inbox. Actually it would be even more useful if she hooked up her computer to the TVBlob box to show me what her problem is. I know there are remote desktop utilities, but I just can't get them to work over the public internets. The box just has a standard analog input so you can connect pretty much any device. Camera, DVD player, computer, satellite reciever (mp3-player?). I'm really digging the extensibility of the box.

4 September 2006 TVBLOB: An Italian Take on User Generated TV and Video Chat alarm: clock (EN)
TVBLOB says it over comes the technical issues of video over IP and makes it possible to make the video calls in places people normally gather like the living room. "In fact, we're offering people a new way to communicate with family, friends or anyone else, only it's through televisions instead of computers", said Caffarelli...."If you think that enabling broadcast quality video over IP network is insignificant, know this: in a demo we recently presented in Taiwan, exchanging live video between Milan and Taipei, the signal passed through 25 different Internet service provider networks..."
